I am certainly no expert, as I am pretty much a newbie in the most traditional sense. But, I have had some training on effective, quantitative, objective, and unique ways of assessing student learning that I might be able to contribute to the group. I am also involved in the assessment of the Virtual Biology Laboratory created at BYU. So, I think this network can help me figure out how best to do this. I am especially interested in the multi-institutional aspect of this project. I am a big proponent of inquiry but I recognize the difficulty of implementing it in a large-enrollment course (which is so prevalent at major universities). I would be most grateful for the opportunity to share ideas with others more experienced than myself and I also believe that implementing technology into the classroom may play a big role in large-enrollment inquiry implementation.
Assessment Techniques
